A Family Gathering

Last weekend we were blessed to spend several days with all of our kids and grandkids. Kristy, Cameron, and Ruth flew from Tampa to Kansas City, where we all enjoyed the hospitality of Kim, Doug, William, and Gabriella. One house with six adults and three young kids - what a wonderful time! So many memories from even just a short time together. Playing in the living room and the backyard, an afternoon at a Children's Farm, wonderful meals and laughter around the table, church together, golf, making barrettes, watching movies, and just being together ...

Of course we took picture and videos. We'll share more later here and on the Lawson and Greenhaw blogs, but here are some of the family pictures we took at the same place Kim and Doug were married just over 3 years ago. (Remember - click on the pics for larger images.)

Our Fiery Chariot

Some of you have seen our little orange G6 Coupe cruisin' around town lately, but for the rest
of you here's a recent pic we took on the St. Louis riverfront (click on it for a larger image).
Greg continues to make mods to his car, and we've taken it to a few local auto shows.

Click here for more pics of our G6.

And here are a few pics from the 2007 Annual Father's Day Car Show
at Hazelwood Baptist Church (scroll down a bit to see the pics).

This is a business trip?

Greg spent a few days in Norfolk and Virginia Beach for work. While Navy ships and F/A-18 aircraft are exciting, some time on the beach was also a great distraction!

If you haven't been here before, this really is a great place to vacation for a long weekend, a week, or longer in Spring, Summer, or Fall. In addition to relaxing on the beach and boardwalk, there are lots of tourist and historic things to do. And some pretty good eats, too.

Unfortunately, traveling with Northwest Airlines was just too much trouble! Unexplained delays, flight changes without notice, hot planes sitting on the tarmac, and other problems. Maybe they'll make things right, and maybe they won't. But we won't be flying with them anymore if it's up to us.

Turning One ... Happy Birthday, Ella!

Can it really be a month since Gabriella turned one year old?! Well, it was another fun and wonderful weekend spending time in KC with the kids and grandkids. From garage sale shopping to time at the beach to birthday cake and presents it was exciting -- and too short. Just a few highlights from the birthday celebration and some backyard fun:

And while we're at it, here's another video of some fun in the water this Summer. At the beach at Shawnee Mission Park and in the backyard with an Elmo sprinkler. What a great time as we all got wet!
